Healthy Recipes for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is the time to gather with friends and family around the table to share laughs and memories with — but most importantly, food. Most times though, there aren’t many healthy thanksgiving options to choose from. That’s why we have put together these healthy recipes for Thanksgiving that everyone will love! 

Roasted Brussel Sprouts


  • 1 ½ pound Brussel sprouts
  • 3 TBS olive oil
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 400. 
  2. Cut off the ends of the Brussel sprouts. Mix the Brussel sprouts in a bowl with olive oil, salt, and pepper. 
  3. Roast on a pan for 35-40 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle with salt for seasoning. Serve.

Healthy Sweet Potato Casserole


  • 3 large sweet potatoes
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper


  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup chopped pepitas
  • 4 Dates, pitted and diced
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 2 TBS butter


  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  2. Peel and dice sweet potatoes.
  3. Cook the potatoes in the boiling water for 20-30 min. 
  4. Drain potatoes & mash them with a hand masher.
  5. Pour the milk, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper into the mixture. Continue mixing. 
  6. Preheat oven to 375. 
  7. Make the topping. Mix all of the topping ingredients together. 
  8. Spread the sweet potato mixture in a 9×13-in casserole dish. Sprinkle topping on top. 
  9. Bake for 25-30 min.
